[Version Adjustments]
In this update, we are focusing on enhancing the gameplay experience and addressing issues with Support shikigami. Our goal is for different sub-types of Support shikigami to better specialize according to their unique traits and play a distinctive role on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
Currently, our ranged buff-type Support shikigami hold a relatively "mainstream" role. We observe that:
1. Ranged buff-type Support shikigami display overly versatile abilities in combat, having advantages during laning and skirmishes and providing strong protection in team fights.
2. Some protective or fight-initiating Support shikigami lack the abilities needed to fulfill their roles.
3. There is insufficient personalization in the early-game equipment growth, causing various types of Support shikigami to follow a "one-size-fits-all" growth pattern, which makes it hard for them to select different equipment to enhance their unique features.
I. Support Shikigami Adjustments
In adjusting different Support shikigami, we aim to better accentuate each shikigami's intended role by highlighting their strengths and identifiable weaknesses. For instance, shikigami specialized in healing excel in attrition tactics but may fall short in direct engagements compared to those designed for initiating fights. Regarding abilities with excessive functionality, we seek to clarify counterplay opportunities. For example, we plan to limit the effectiveness of Tenjo Kudari's ultimate ability in offensive scenarios and adjust Momo's resurrection timing.
We also aim to improve the user experience for some shikigami in this update. For example, Kusa's healing abilities are currently challenging to trigger when she is at a health disadvantage, making it difficult to provide effective support to teammates.
1. Enmusubi
Due to her abilities and gameplay style, Enmusubi needs to fight close to enemies. We're enhancing her damage absorption capabilities to improve her error margin in close combat, allowing her to harass enemy shikigami more effectively. However, we'll slightly reduce her control abilities and buffs to allies, aligning her skills more closely with her gameplay role.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Increased Armor growth from 4 to 6.5, and Magic Resist from 0.5 to 3.
Passive [Fate Realized]:
The Armor and Magic Resist Bonus for each Paper Doll has been reduced from 1.6 to 1.
Optimized the rules for generating Paper Dolls, prioritizing generation in front of the movement path and avoiding turrets and bushes.
Ability 1 [Flower Moon]:
When activated, it grants the caster a Haste effect. The Shield is increased from 20 (+20% Ability Power) (+3.5*Current Level) to 20 (+20% AP) (+7*Current Level).
The attack speed boost granted to allies when triggering the mark is removed. The Shield obtained is increased from 40 (+40% Ability Power) (+7*Current Level) to 40 (+40% Ability Power) (+14*Current Level).
Ability 2 [Perfect Pair]:
Adjusted the cast range from 750 to 850 on the first use, and from 450 to 525 on the second use.
Adjusted Stun duration from 1/1.125/1.25/1.375/1.5s to 0.7/0.8/0.9/1.0/1.1s.
New effect: Inflicts a Slow effect when hitting the first enemy.
2. Momo
As a long-range Support shikigami known for her healing, we want to make Momo's recovery effects more pronounced. Previously, her trait's healing enhancements were too subtle and difficult for teammates to notice. We are adjusting the mechanics of her trait and her Ability 1 to make the healing effects more perceptible, while maintaining the overall recovery amount. We are also slightly reducing her control capabilities and the protective strength of her ultimate ability to balance her performance across different dimensions.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Reduced Base Attack Damage from 70 to 60.
Passive [Blooming Flower] Iteration:
1. Summons three [Peach Spirits] to circle the caster at intervals. [Peach Spirits] will track and heal nearby ally shikigami.
2. Attacks and abilities hitting enemy shikigami will grant [Petals], and nearby ally Sakura's attacks and abilities will also stack [Petals] for Momo.
Ability 1 [Flower Fragrance] Iteration:
Passive effect: This ability heals the caster while healing ally shikigami.
Active use: Heals an ally shikigami and adds a [Peach Blossom Mark]. For the duration of the [Peach Blossom Mark], it will consume [Petals] to provide additional healing. Ally shikigami with the [Peach Blossom Mark] will also accumulate [Petals] for Momo.
Ability 3 [Blossom Illusion]:
Changed the Immobilize effect triggered by the connection to a 50% Slow effect.
Ability 4 [Revival Blossom]:
Reduced the duration from 6s to 5s.
Reduced resurrection delay time from 3s to 1.5s.
Added UI effects for the HP bar of resurrectable ally shikigami.
3. Shouzu
Shouzu is an Support shikigami that excels in protecting teammates. Her basic abilities effectively prevent enemy advances, and her ultimate ability provides significant damage reduction to nearby allies. Although her ability to share damage through her ultimate is powerful, the perceptibility of this protection to teammates is weak. We are adjusting her ultimate ability to make its protective effects more noticeable, while also removing healing for allies and debuffs for enemies to focus more on protection.
Ultimate Ability [Ocean Stream]:
Ally shikigami that have formed a [Life Link] with Shouzu will transfer 100% of the damage they receive to Shouzu, and Shouzu will gain a shield. For each additional [Life Link], Shouzu will gain an extra shield. The Life Link will break when Shouzu loses her shield.
The damage and Slow effect inflicted by the wave hitting enemy shikigami are removed, the healing effect for ally shikigami is removed, and the damage reduction effect during [Life Link] is removed.
4. Kusa
As a healer in Heian-kyo, Kusa's [Flower Power] ability has complex triggers and unclear healing effects. Moreover, [Absorb] lacks synergy with other skills, making Kusa less effective in early-stage team fights. We've adjusted [Flower Power] to remove restrictions that it can only be triggered by damage dealt to targets and made [Absorb] provide stronger healing when hitting a shikigami. We also addressed the instability of Ability 3 [Tangle Root] control by slightly reducing its delay. To balance these enhancements, we slightly reduced the healing from her Natural Passive [Mending] and Ability 1 [Flower Power], ensuring she performs reasonably in battles.
Ability 1 [Flower Power]:
New passive: When the energy stored in [Seed of Life] reaches 100, Kusa gains a cooldown-free [Flower Power], and the number of transfers increases to 4.
Active: Kusa selects an ally shikigami to release the stored energy of [Seed of Life], restoring 30/45/60/75/90 (+25% Ability Power) HP to the target and transferring the healing effect to the nearby ally shikigami with the lowest HP, up to 2 times.
Ability 2 [Absorb]:
New passive: [Absorb] hitting enemy shikigami will store energy for [Seed of Life], up to a maximum of 100.
New effect: Hitting a shikigami with an ability grants 20 [Seed of Life] energy, and each hit on an enemy shikigami restores HP and grants an additional 10 [Seed of Life] energy to Kusa.
Ability 3 [Tangle Root]:
Adjusted the effect delay time from 0.75s to 0.65s.
Natural Passive [Mending]:
The additional healing for units with less than 50% HP has been adjusted from 20 (+6*Level) (+3% target's max HP) to 20 (+6*Level) (+2% target's max HP).
5. Kaguya
As a Support shikigami, Kaguya currently has lower survivability. We've shifted some of her Ability 1's damage into her base attributes to improve her survivability as a protective Support early in the game, aiming to offer Kaguya players a better experience.
Base Stats Adjustment:
Increased Armor from 50 to 68, and HP from 693 to 770.
Ability 1 [Horai Branch]:
Damage reduced from 50/100/150/200/250 (+60% Ability Power) (+10*Current Level) to 50/100/150/200/250 (+60% Ability Power) (+5*Current Level).
6. Hako Shoujo
Hako Shoujo's trait provides protective shields to allies, but the trigger conditions currently activate the shield too readily, often when not under attack, leading to wasted protection. We are adjusting the trigger logic to enhance the practicality of her shield effect.
Passive [Cherish]:
When Hako Shoujo and allied shikigami nearby take damage exceeding 30% of their max HP within 5s, they will gain a shield that lasts for 4s that blocks 40 (+15*Current Level) (+3.3% (+0.2%*Current Level) Max HP) damage. Each target has a separate 30s cooldown.
Ability 3 [Retrace]:
Movement speed bonus reduced from 30%/32.5%/35%/37.5%/40% to 10%/12.5%/15%/17.5%/20%.
7. Hiyoribou
During the laning phase, Hiyoribou can use Ability 1, [Warm Day], for long-range harassment and healing. When placed in bushes, it becomes invisible, allowing for surprise attacks on enemies. However, the normal casting hit rate is low. We aim to ensure [Warm Day] has a reasonable hit rate from different positions and maintain strategic gameplay where both sides can observe and avoid its placement. Therefore, we're adjusting the visibility rules of [Warm Day] in bushes and reducing the charge time to balance the hit rate. Also, we will slightly reduce the protective strength of the ultimate ability [Noontime Sun] while increasing its casting range to enhance its usability.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Reduced Base Attack Damage from 76 to 60.
Ability 1 [Warm Day]:
When Warm Day is cast in bushes, it is visible to enemies. Charge time reduced from 2.5s to 1.5s. Bullet speed increased from 1,800 to 2,100.
Ultimate Ability [Noontime Sun]:
Cast range increased from 850 to 950. Protection duration for allies reduced from 4s to 3s. Duration of immunity to all damage reduced from 3/3.25/3.5s to 2.5/2.75/3s.
8. Tenjo Kudari
Tenjo Kudari's ultimate ability [Rain Shelter] is primarily intended to protect ally shikigami. Currently, it can be used for long-range group displacement in offensive scenarios. We're reducing the cast range and increasing the Shield it provides to ensure it is more effective when used for protection.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Reduced Base Attack Damage from 76 to 60.
Ultimate Ability [Rain Shelter]:
Cast range reduced from 1,000 to 700, Shield increased.
9. Hououga
Hououga is a Support shikigami with good initiation and charge abilities but lacks sufficient tanking ability in her current role. We're adjusting her ultimate ability stats to allow for adequate damage absorption during its activation, improving her error margin when initiating.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Increased Armor growth from 6.5 to 7.
Ultimate Ability [Phoenix Resurrection]:
Transformed HP adjusted from 300/750/1500 (+35% of caster's max HP) (+180% Ability Power) to 500/1300/2300 (+25% of caster's max HP) (+180% Ability Power).
10. Samurai X
As a Tank shikigami, Samurai X needs to get close to enemies to control them but is often harassed in the process. We're increasing the Armor during his Ability 3 [Stronghold] to ensure he doesn't lose too much HP when initiating attacks.
Ability 3 [Stronghold]:
Armor increase during the ability adjusted from 15% Armor to 20/35/50/65/80 (+15% Armor).
12. Akaname
Akaname, serving dual roles as Support and Marksman, requires time to grow into his power in the late game. His current early game combat strength is relatively high, making his overall power unbalanced. We're slightly reducing his early game Base Attack Damage to better align with a reasonable growth curve.
Base Stats Adjustments:
Adjusted Attack Damage from 72 to 65.
2. Item/Onmyodo Adjustments
We aim to provide Support shikigami with more options in the early to mid game to enhance their unique characteristics. The following are the main areas of adjustment for this update:
1. Currently, the Wealth Amulet grants additional damage and economic benefits when attacking enemy shikigami, an effect that tends to favor those with long-range harassment capabilities. This has created an imbalance as these shikigami can easily trigger these benefits, enhancing their harassment potential and allowing them to effortlessly gain extra income.
In this update, we are removing the bonus damage feature from the Wealth Amulet and modifying how Support shikigami earn additional income early to mid game, thus ensuring a fairer distribution of income. Also, we are introducing an automatic growth mechanism that reduces reliance on income, allowing Support shikigami greater freedom in their first item choice, thus encouraging selections that better fit their roles.
2. Specialization of item attributes: Items such as [Fashionable Trinket], [Asakusa Glow], and [Astrolabe] will be removed from the basic Support item fusion recipes. Their attributes will be adjusted to better match their intended effects. Meanwhile, we will remove the team-wide Armor and Magic Resist halo effects, as not all Support shikigami should enhance the team's ability to absorb damage.
For example, the Astrolabe, designed to enhance both team and individual tanking capabilities, will now feature increased HP and Armor and Magic Resist. Main attributes and natural recovery bonuses will be removed to focus on the essential survival attributes needed by shikigami that rely heavily on damage absorption.
3. Optimized equipment effect perception: Some Support items currently lack sufficient visual effects when triggered, making it difficult for both the user and teammates to recognize their benefits. We're addressing this by adding special effects to these items to improve visibility and feedback when they're triggered.

Item Effects:
"Tree Spirit": Heals and shields increased +15%.
[Onmyodo Adjustments]
1. Spirit Fish Protection
The Spirit Fish Protection is intended to briefly reduce damage for initiation-type Support or Tank shikigami charging into enemy formations. However, its trigger conditions have proven too sensitive, often activating prematurely due to minor harassment and thus being unavailable when most needed. We're refining these conditions to better suit the intended shikigami roles.
Trigger condition adjustment:
[Before Adjustment] When taking damage equal to 10% of max HP within 3s, it increases the caster's Armor and Magic Resist and grants additional Armor and Magic Resist for 3s, while also dealing damage to enemies within range.
[After Adjustment] When inflicting a control effect on enemy shikigami within a range of 300, it increases the caster's Armor and Magic Resist and grants additional Armor and Magic Resist for 3s, while also dealing damage to enemies within range.
[Balance Adjustments]
1. Kikyo
As a Marksman shikigami, Kikyo's damage output and overall performance in the current version have not met expectations. Therefore, we have enhanced the base physical and magical damage of her Ability 1 [Soul Collector] and extended the cast range of her Ability 3 [Soul Burst]. We hope these adjustments will significantly improve her performance.
Ability 1 [Soul Collector]:
Base physical and magic damage increased from 25/37.5/50/62.5/75 to 25/42.5/60/77.5/95.
Ability 3 [Soul Burst]:
Cast range increased from 850 to 900.
2. Itsumade
As a Ninja shikigami, Itsumade's damage output in the early to mid game is notably lower than that of her peers, impacting her efficiency in jungle clearing and her effectiveness in initiating attacks. To address this, we have slightly increased the two-stage base damage of her Ability 2 [Invisible Edge] to enhance her performance in the early to mid-game.
Ability 2 [Invisible Edge]:
One-stage base damage increased from 60/100/140/180/220 to 70/110/150/190/230.
Two-stage base damage increased from 60/120/180/240/300 to 70/135/200/265/330.
3. Suzuka Gozen
As a Marksman shikigami, Suzuka Gozen faces an extended dip in power during the mid-game, which severely limits her ability to threaten enemy forces. Therefore, we've increased the damage of her Natural Passive [Sharp Weapon] and her ultimate ability [Feathered Surf] with the goal of smoothing her power curve and ensuring she remains competitive throughout the game.
Natural Passive [Sharp Weapon]:
Enhanced basic attack damage level bonus increased from (+5*Current Level) to (+8*Current Level).
Ultimate Ability [Feathered Surf]:
Base damage increased from 200/325/450 to 230/340/450.
Damage over time every 0.3s increased from 40/65/90 to 50/70/90.
4. Yuki Onna
As a Mage shikigami, Yuki Onna's self-preservation ability when under enemy attack is somewhat weak. Therefore, we have increased the Shield from her Natural Passive [Snow Maiden], and also increased the Slow effect of the outer circle of her Ability 3 [Frost Breath], hoping these adjustments will enhance her survivability.
Natural Passive [Snow Maiden]:
Shield increased from 30 (+45% Ability Power) (+12*Level) to 30 (+60% Ability Power) (+18*Level).
Ability 3 [Frost Breath]:
Outer ring Slow effect increased from 35%/40%/45%/50%/55% to 45%/50%/55%/60%/65%.
5. Tamamo no Mae
As a mage shikigami, Tamamo no Mae's damage output in the late game has been somewhat lacking, making it difficult for her to lead her team to victory. Therefore, we have slightly increased the magic power scaling of her first ability, [Spirit Strike], in the hopes of providing a better late-game experience.
First ability [Spirit Strike]:
Magic power scaling increased from 80% to 87.5%.
6. Higanbana
As a mage shikigami, Higanbana's damage in the early to mid-game is somewhat lacking, making it difficult for her to gain a significant advantage during the laning phase. Therefore, we have increased the base damage of her first ability, [Flower of Death], in hopes of providing a better laning experience.
First ability [Flower of Death]:
Base damage increased from 90/125/160/195/230 to 110/145/180/215/250.
7. Yatogami
As a samurai-type shikigami, Yatogami's first skill [Night's Invitation] had a short cooldown in the early game but dealt relatively low damage per hit, making him efficient at clearing jungle camps but lacking in sealing success rate. Additionally, the cooldowns for his second skill [Seal of Fate] and third skill [Dance of Unity] were somewhat long in the early to mid-game, resulting in underwhelming performance for Yatogami during these stages. Therefore, we have increased the base damage of his first skill [Night's Invitation] while slightly increasing its cooldown. Furthermore, we have reduced the cooldowns of his second skill [Seal of Fate] and third skill [Dance of Unity], and increased the base damage of [Seal of Fate], while balancing it by reducing the duration of the attack speed boost effect in the late game. We hope that Yatogami will have a more impressive performance in the early to mid-game phases.
First Skill [Night's Invitation]:
Base damage increased from 15/32/49/66/83 to 20/37.5/55/72.5/90.
Follow-up slash damage increased from 10/25/40/55/70 to 15/30/45/60/75.
Final slash damage increased from 22/55/88/121/154 to 30/65/100/135/170.
Cooldown increased from 5.2/4.9/4.6/4.3/4 seconds to 6.5/5.875/5.25/4.625/4 seconds.
Second Skill [Seal of Fate]:
Cooldown reduced from 8 seconds to 7/6.75/6.5/6.25/6 seconds.
Attack speed duration reduced from 4/4.25/4.5/4.75/5 seconds to 4 seconds.
Base damage increased from 50/75/100/125/150 to 60/95/130/165/200.
Projectile width increased from 225 to 250.
Third Skill [Dance of Unity]:
Cooldown reduced from 13/12/11/10/9 seconds to 11/10.5/10/9.5/9 seconds.
[Demon Encounter Balance Adjustments]
Nyuunai-suzume: Explosion damage increased from 120/410/700 (+4%/7%/10% target's max HP) (+110% Ability Power) to 200/450/700 (+6%/8%/10% target's max HP) (+110% Ability Power).
Jinmenju: Control duration of basic attacks in [Cursed Roots] state increased from 0.1s to 0.3s.
Kubinashi: [Thrash] attack range reduced from 700 to 590.
Ichimokuren: Shield duration from [Wind Wall] increased from 2s to 5s.
Shouzu: Increased the water wave speed from 1,300 to 1,800.
[Optimizations and Adjustments]
1. Optimized the inner and outer circle display of Yuki Onna's Ability 3 [Frost Breath] cast indicator.
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 8/12 (Monday). The new free shikigami will be Kubinashi, Hako Shoujo, Kyonshi Imoto, Inugami, Enenra, Asura, Akaname, and Lord Arakawa.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Kaoru and Menreiki.
Among them, Lord Arakawa is a high-difficulty shikigami. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days cannot use him in battle for free.
