[Shikigami Adjustments]
Kujira
When designing Kujira, we envisioned him as an offensive warrior. However, his abilities still have significant room for improvement in terms of fidelity and impact. To address this, we have optimized the oppressive feel and destructive power of Kujira's abilities.
In the current version, [Whale Bone: Open] doesn't fully capture Kujira's dominance or the oppressive feel of his signature ability. We've added a charging phase to enhance the sense of power when Kujira uses [Whale Bone: Open], and we've also upgraded its visual effects to make it more spectacular.
Trait [Bone Sword], as Kujira's special weapon, hasn't demonstrated its flexibility in the current version. We've modified its mechanics by increasing the base attack range and allowing it to pull hit targets toward Kujira.
Kujira's Ability 2: [Whale Bone: Coil] previously required stringent positioning and angle, which didn't align with our vision for him to excel in frontal combat. We've adjusted the mechanics so that from any angle, after a short delay, Kujira can summon the Bone Whale to knockup and control the target and nearby enemies.
In the current version, Kujira's ultimate ability [Surging Bones] has a slow casting speed, making it ineffective both for initiating and countering attacks in battles. We've replaced it with a more immediate execution-type ability that deals lethal damage to targets within a specified range.
Finally, we hope these changes will better align with our players' preferences and encourage more players to bring Kujira into battle.
Trait [Bone Sword]
Mechanics adjustment: Every certain period of time, the basic attack is enhanced, dealing damage to the hit target. When hitting multiple targets, it will drag other targets towards the first target. If a target with a bone chain is hit, other targets will be dragged towards that target instead.
Ability 1 [Whale Bone: Open]:
Mechanism adjustment: Deals three instances of damage to enemies within a trapezoidal range, with bonus damage in the central area.
Ability 2 [Whale Bone: Chain]
Mechanics adjustment: Release a bone chain in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies along its path. Upon hitting a shikigami or monster, it will inflict damage and a knockup effect on the target and nearby enemies after a short delay.
Ability 3 [Whale Bone: Station]:
Mechanism adjustment: The next basic attack after teleporting will be enhanced, dealing high damage.
Ultimate Ability [Bone Tide]:
Mechanism adjustment: Slash in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies in the path.
[Balance Adjustments]
1. Higanbana
As a Mage shikigami, Higanbana currently relies too heavily on spreading [Flower Seal] for large area damage, making her relatively weak against single targets. This puts her at a disadvantage in one-on-one scenarios. We've adjusted the damage calculation for [Flower Seal], so now Higanbana will deal the damage of Ability 1 [Deadly Blooms] itself plus the explosion damage of the [Flower Seal] mark to the target and nearby enemies. Enemies hit by chain explosions will only take the explosion damage from [Flower Seal]. In addition, we've significantly increased the damage of [Deadly Blooms] and the [Flower Seal] mark's explosion to improve her burst potential against single targets. We've also optimized [Deadly Blooms] for last-hitting minions—if the target dies after the ability is cast, the cooldown for the explosion mark will be refunded. As a balance, we've reduced the shield amount from [Deadly Blooms] to concentrate her damage while maintaining balance in control strength.
Ability 1 [Deadly Blooms]:
Before adjustment: All targets marked with [Flower Seal] receive full damage from Ability 1 [Deadly Blooms] plus the explosion damage of the [Flower Seal] mark when transmitted.
After adjustment: Only the target of Ability 1 [Deadly Blooms] and nearby enemies in a small range take damage from Ability 1 [Deadly Blooms] itself plus the explosion damage from the [Flower Seal] mark. Enemies caught in chain explosions will only take the explosion damage from the [Flower Seal] mark.
Increased Ability 1 damage from 110/145/180/215/250 (+50% Ability Power) to 110/165/220/275/330 (+65% Ability Power).
Increased Flower Seal damage from 55/85/115/145/175 (+30% Ability Power) to 70/110/150/160/230 (+42.5% Ability Power).
Reduced Shield from 35/45/55/65/75 (+6*Level) (+30% Ability Power) to 20/27.5/35/42.5/50 (+4*Level) (+20% Ability Power).
Adjusted the [flower soul] energy gained from hitting targets from 20 to 25.
If the target unit is dead after casting, the cooldown is also refunded.
2. Karasu Tengu
As a Samurai shikigami, we want to enhance Karasu Tengu's potential as a jungler. We've increased the damage coefficient for his Natural Passive [Purification Wings], making each crow attack more effective against monsters. Also, we've extended the casting range of Ability 2 [Nightmare Crow] to improve its utility against long-range enemy shikigami, thereby increasing his threat to distant targets.
Natural Passive [Purification Wings]:
Adjusted the damage coefficient of the crow's attacks on monsters from 60% to 80%.
Ability 2 [Nightmare Crow]:
Adjusted casting range from 800 to 900.
3. Oitsuki
As a Mage shikigami who relies on entering the battlefield to deal damage, Oitsuki's late-game damage depends heavily on item buffs, making it difficult for her to perform well in disadvantageous situations. We've increased the damage scaling with ability levels for Ability 2 [Crescent Moon] and ultimate ability [Clear Moon] to improve her late-game performance, especially in challenging situations.
Ability 2 [Crescent Moon]:
Light Chain base damage increased from 50/100/150/200/250 to 50/110/170/230/290.
Ultimate Ability [Clear Moon]:
Adjusted base damage from 250/425/600 to 250/450/650.
4. Suzuhime
As a Mage shikigami, Suzuhime's tankiness is currently too high, and in the late game, she gains strong survivability from high Spell Vampire. We've reduced the Spell Vampire effect of her Natural Passive [Fire Devour] when her HP is below 50%, aiming to keep her strength and survivability balanced.
Natural Passive [Fire Devour]:
Adjusted Spell Vampire when HP is below 50% from 15% to 7.5%.
5. Suzuka Gozen
As a Marksman Shikigami, Suzuka Gozen becomes less effective in the late game due to long ability cooldowns after the laning phase. We've reduced the cooldown times for Ability 2 [Valiant Cry] and Ability 3 [Defensive Circle], allowing her to trigger passive enhanced basic attacks more frequently in the late game, creating more opportunities for highlight moments.
Ability 2 [Valiant Cry]:
Adjusted cooldown from 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s to 13/12/11/10/9s.
Ability 3 [Defensive Circle]:
Adjusted cooldown from 10/9.5/9/8.5/8s to 10/9/8/7/6s.
6. Enmusubi
After adjustments, Enmusubi's survivability has significantly increased. Ability 1 [Flower Moon], being frequently used, now provides a shield amount that's a bit too high, making Enmusubi too strong. We've reduced the shield amount to bring her strength back to a reasonable range.
Ability 1 [Flower Moon]:
Shield granted to the group by Enmusubi on first use reduced from 20 (+20% AP) (+7 * current level) to 20/27/34/41/48 (+20% AP)
The shield obtained when hitting an enemy with the skill again has been reduced from 40 (+40% AP) (+14 * current level) to 40/54/68/82/96 (+40% AP)
7. Mahamayuri
As a Marksman Shikigami, Mahamayuri's laning strength is currently too high. She can use basic attacks on the lane to accumulate [Feathers], then use Ability 3 [Feather Flow] for a burst of damage, making her laning phase relatively easy while dealing excessive damage. Also, the damage from her Ability 1 [Feather Wind] is too high, resulting in an overall oppressive laning experience. We've reduced the base damage of both abilities to provide a more balanced laning experience for opponents.
Ability 1 [Feather Wind]:
Adjusted base damage from 110/185/260/335/410 to 100/165/230/295/360.
Ability 3 [Feather Flow]:
Adjusted [Feather Slash] damage from 25/38/51/64/77 to 20/32/44/56/68.
Enhanced [Feather Slash] damage adjusted from 70/115/160/205/250 to 60/95/130/165/200.
8. Shouzu
After the adjustments, Shouzu's ultimate ability [Ocean Stream] provides insufficient protection, lowering her overall strength. We've increased the shield amount from [Ocean Stream] so that Shouzu can offer better protection to teammates.
Ultimate Ability [Ocean Stream]:
Adjusted Shield from 400/700/1000 to 500/1000/1500.
9. Hiyoribou
As a Support shikigami, Hiyoribou's ultimate ability [Noontime Sun] has overly strong protection capabilities, leading to a high win rate and ban rate. We've slightly reduced the protection time of her ultimate ability in the late game and increased its early-game cooldown time, hoping to bring her strength back to a reasonable range.
Ultimate Ability [Noontime Sun]:
Adjusted protection duration from 2.5/2.75/3s to 2.5s.
Adjusted cooldown from 70/65/60s to 90/75/60s.
10. Tenjo Kudari
Tenjo Kudari's Ability 2 [Promise] provides an AoE Slow effect in the late game, along with a long-lasting AoE Charm effect. We've slightly reduced the control effect of Ability 2 [Promise] to balance this.
Ability 2 [Promise]:
Adjusted control time from 0.7/0.975/1.25/1.525/1.8s to 0.7/0.9/1.1/1.3/1.5s.

Of these shikigami, Dodomeki has a difficulty of Extreme. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can't use her in battle for free.
