[Onmyodo Adjustments]
After the recent release of the Onmyodo adjustments, we received a lot of feedback requesting that Second Evolution no longer occupy the main Onmyodo slot. At first, we tried to address this by strengthening Second Evolution shikigami through targeted ability enhancements. However, we later realized that due to unclear in-game displays, the effects of these enhancements were not very noticeable. They also ended up limiting the variety of viable playstyles for Second Evolution shikigami, which didn’t meet our expectations. In this update, Second Evolution will now be treated as a separate option from the main Onmyodo slot. We’ll also be standardizing the stat adjustments for all previous Second Evolution shikigami to avoid large power discrepancies. Additionally, we will be updating the classification of certain shikigami to better match their revised ability designs—for example, Second Evolution Ubume will change from the Ninja class to the Samurai class.
Since the Onmyodo revamp, we noticed that many Support shikigami who use Cursed Fireball also have a Tank role. Additionally, the Onmyodo "All Out" did not align well with the characteristics of Ninja shikigami. As a result, we’ve removed these two Onmyodo from their respective categories and introduced two new options: "Occult: Spirit Slash" and "Riot." "Occult: Spirit Slash" is intended to help Ninja shikigami finish off low-HP enemies and chain kills during team fights. “"Riot" gives Support shikigami a way to provide continuous buffs to allies during combat.
We also found that some Onmyodo had overly strict trigger conditions, limiting their applicability. In this update, we have eased certain requirements, added guaranteed effects to some Onmyodo, and adjusted the stats of those that were either too strong or too weak. We hope these changes will expand the number of usable Onmyodo and give players more options and flexibility in their builds.
General Onmyodo Adjustments
1. Prosperity Growth
Prosperity Growth has become too powerful, resulting in excessive usage. Our original intention was for it to help late-game shikigami scale more efficiently—not to provide strong economic boosts in the early and mid game. We’ve adjusted its effect to make it reward players only in the later stages of a match.
Effect Adjustment:
Earn stacks equal to 9% of the Coins gained from killing minions and monsters. Starting at 10 minutes into the match, all stacks are cleared every minute and converted into an equivalent amount of Coins.
2. Channel: Umbrella
Cooldown reduced from 90s to 60s. Trigger HP threshold raised from 20% to 30%.
Shield growth per level increased from 8 to 14.
3. Occult: Purge Evil
HP difference required to reach the max bonus reduced from 60% to 40%.
Mage Onmyodo Adjustments
1. Prophecy: Divination
The activation condition for Prophecy: Divination is currently too difficult, and its temporary effect doesn’t sufficiently compensate for the early-game weakness caused by the lack of Onmyodo combat strength. We’ve slightly lowered the requirements and increased the damage during the buff state, aiming to make the experience more rewarding for those who use it.
The number of stacks required to generate a Revival Potion has been reduced from 180 to 150.
Revival Potion:
New Effect: the Nen effect and damage boost obtained from pickup will persist until the caster's death.
2. Channel: Hell
Slow effect removed. Delay time reduced from 1s to 0.7s.
3. Occult: Haste
The Movement Speed bonus no longer decays, and the caster additionally gains 30% Slow resistance. Haste duration increased from 3s to 5s.
4. Occult: Glimmer
Currently, Occult: Glimmer only provides benefits after activation, making it suitable for only a limited number of shikigami. We’re adding a guaranteed benefit and lowering the activation threshold, so it becomes more compatible with shikigami that rely heavily on their ultimate ability.
Trigger window increased from 2s to 3s.
New Effect: Ultimate ability damage permanently increased by 15%.
5. Panther Maul
Trigger cooldown increased from 18s to 25s.
Support Onmyodo Adjustments
1. New: Riot
When using an ability to apply healing or a shield to a target, the target also gains bonus Movement Speed and Attack Speed for 2s. Each target has an individual cooldown.
2. Spirit Fish Protection
Duration increased from 3s to 4s.
3. Channel: Hell
Slow effect removed. Delay time reduced from 1s to 0.7s.
4. Undercurrent
Undercurrent’s trigger condition has been too restrictive, limiting its compatibility with Support shikigami. We’ve relaxed its requirements so that more Support shikigami can use it, while slightly reducing its Slow effect for balance.
Effect Adjustment:
Now triggers when dealing damage to enemy shikigami with an ability, no longer requiring a control effect. Slow effect reduced from 55% to 35%.
5. Sorcery: Change
Updated spell cooldown reduced from 3x to 2x original duration. Sorcery: Change's cooldown lowered from 48s to 30s.
6. Cursed Fireball (Removed)
We found that most shikigami using Cursed Fireball in the bottom lane are already Tank-type, which makes the Support version of Cursed Fireball redundant. To provide more viable options for healing-focused shikigami, we have decided to remove this Onmyodo.
Marksman Onmyodo Adjustments
2. Magic Break
Time window to trigger the bonus effect increased from 2s to 3s. Magic Break duration increased from 4s to 5s.
,
3. Sorcery: Star
Damage increase per stack reduced from 0.7% to 0.6%. Additional damage and HP Steal effects reduced from 7% to 6%.
Samurai Onmyodo Adjustments
1. Suppression
Time window to trigger the bonus effect increased from 2s to 3s.
New effect: Killing a minion restores 10 (+2*Current Level) HP to the caster.
2. Sorcery: Star
Damage increase per stack reduced from 0.7% to 0.6%. Additional damage and HP Steal effects reduced from 7% to 6%.
Ninja Onmyodo Adjustments
1. New: Occult: Spirit Slash
Deals 5% increased damage to targets below 40% HP. Additionally, upon killing a shikigami or if a shikigami you damaged within the last 3s dies, all non-ultimate abilities with a cooldown above 1.5s are reduced to 1.5s.
2. Shadow Strike
Haste effect after leaving bushes no longer decays.
4. Panther Maul
Trigger cooldown increased from 18s to 25s.
All Out (Removed)
Tank Onmyodo Adjustments
1. Sorcery: Change
Updated spell cooldown reduced from 3x to 2x original duration. Sorcery: Change's cooldown lowered from 48s to 30s.
2. Spirit Fish Protection
Duration increased from 3s to 4s.
[Shikigami Adjustments]
As a Marksman shikigami, Enma’s Ability 2 [Demon Realm] applies Silence instantly, which leaves little room for counterplay. Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Miketsu and Kingyo.
Of these shikigami, Yoto Hime and Yasha have a difficulty of Extreme. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can't use them in battle for free.
